These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of RigsDesk, a Chrome extension operated by DesignRigs ("DesignRigs", "we", "us", or "our").
By installing, accessing, purchasing, or using RigsDesk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use RigsDesk.
1. About RigsDesk
RigsDesk is a Chrome extension that provides a desktop style interface for managing, organizing, and accessing your existing Chrome bookmarks.
RigsDesk operates on your existing Chrome bookmark library. It does not create a separate bookmark service or guarantee a backup of your bookmarks.
Your use of Chrome, Chrome Sync, your Google account, and other services connected to your browser remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to purchase RigsDesk.
If you are using RigsDesk on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
3. Free Trial
RigsDesk provides a 7 day free trial for eligible new accounts.
The trial provides access to the features available under the applicable trial plan.
A payment method is not required to begin the trial.
Trial eligibility is determined by DesignRigs and may be limited to one trial per person, account, or other reasonable basis.
DesignRigs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the trial program at any time.
When the trial ends, access to paid features may be restricted unless the account is upgraded or otherwise granted continued access.
Your Chrome bookmarks are not deleted, modified, or removed merely because your RigsDesk trial expires.
4. Lifetime License
RigsDesk is offered as a one time purchase of $10 USD.
The purchase provides a lifetime license to use the paid version of RigsDesk, subject to these Terms and the continued availability of the RigsDesk service.
RigsDesk is not a subscription.
There are:
- No monthly fees
- No annual fees
- No automatic renewals
- No recurring charges
- No requirement to keep a payment method on file with DesignRigs
A successful purchase is associated with your RigsDesk account so that your license can be recognized and restored when you sign in.
"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the RigsDesk product and service, and does not guarantee that the product will be maintained or available indefinitely.
5. Payment Processing
All RigsDesk purchases are processed through Stripe.
Payment information is entered through Stripe's payment infrastructure and checkout process.
DesignRigs does not process or store your full payment card information.
Stripe is responsible for processing the payment transaction and may apply its own terms, policies, and requirements.
By making a purchase, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction for the amount displayed at checkout.
6. Refund Policy
All RigsDesk purchases are final and are not normally refundable.
Because RigsDesk is a digital product that provides immediate access to the licensed software, DesignRigs does not offer refunds simply because you change your mind, do not use the product, or decide that it is not suitable for your particular needs.
A refund may be considered only where DesignRigs determines that there is a strong, legitimate, or exceptional reason to do so.
Refund requests must be sent to:
DesignRigs reserves sole discretion to determine whether a refund is appropriate, except where applicable law gives you a mandatory right to a refund.
If DesignRigs approves a refund, the amount returned may be reduced by payment processing charges, transaction fees, currency conversion costs, or other fees that are not recoverable by DesignRigs.
A refund approval for one customer does not create an obligation to provide a refund in another case.
Where a refund is issued, the associated RigsDesk lifetime license may be revoked.
Nothing in this section is intended to remove or restrict any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
7. No Subscription or Automatic Billing
RigsDesk does not use recurring subscription billing.
The lifetime license is purchased through a single payment.
DesignRigs will not automatically charge your payment method again for continued access to RigsDesk.
There is no subscription cancellation process because there is no recurring subscription.
8. Your Chrome Bookmarks
RigsDesk works directly with your existing Chrome bookmarks.
You remain responsible for the management and safety of your bookmarks.
RigsDesk does not provide a backup or recovery service for your bookmarks.
When you create, rename, move, reorganize, or delete a bookmark through RigsDesk, those actions may immediately affect your actual Chrome bookmark library.
You are solely responsible for confirming that an action is intended before deleting, moving, or otherwise modifying bookmark data.
If you accidentally delete or modify a bookmark, folder, or other bookmark data, DesignRigs may not be able to recover it.
DesignRigs does not maintain a server side backup or historical version of your Chrome bookmarks.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups or using Chrome's available synchronization and recovery features where appropriate.
9. Local Workspace Data
RigsDesk may store workspace preferences and personalization data locally on your device, including colors, favorites, layouts, wallpaper, custom icons, recently used information, and other preferences.
This local data is not guaranteed to be backed up.
If you uninstall RigsDesk, clear Chrome extension storage, reset your browser, change devices, or otherwise remove local extension data, some or all of this information may be permanently lost.
DesignRigs is not responsible for recovering locally stored workspace data that has been lost or deleted.
10. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Your Chrome account and browser environment
- Your Chrome bookmarks
- Any actions you perform through RigsDesk
- Maintaining backups of important information
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- Ensuring that your use of RigsDesk complies with applicable laws
- Ensuring that content you access, save, or organize through bookmarks is lawful and appropriate
You should not rely on RigsDesk as a backup system for important data.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use RigsDesk to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Circumvent security or access controls
- Interfere with the operation of RigsDesk or Chrome
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to DesignRigs systems
- Reverse engineer or exploit RigsDesk for malicious purposes
- Use RigsDesk in a manner that intentionally damages or disrupts the service
DesignRigs may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or its systems.
12. Intellectual Property
RigsDesk, including its software, interface, branding, logos, visual design, code, documentation, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to DesignRigs.
Your purchase gives you a personal, non transferable license to use RigsDesk according to these Terms.
You may not:
- Sell or sublicense RigsDesk
- Redistribute modified or unauthorized copies
- Claim ownership of RigsDesk
- Copy substantial portions of its software or design
- Use RigsDesk branding without permission
Your Chrome bookmarks and the content you access through them remain yours or belong to their respective owners.
DesignRigs does not claim ownership of your bookmarks.
13. Third Party Services
RigsDesk may rely on third party services including Google, Auth0, Supabase, Stripe, Chrome, and other infrastructure required to provide the product.
Third party services are subject to their own terms, policies, availability, and technical limitations.
DesignRigs is not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, security incidents, or failures caused by third party services outside our reasonable control.
14. Service Availability
We aim to keep RigsDesk available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation.
RigsDesk may occasionally be unavailable due to:
- Maintenance
- Software updates
- Chrome changes
- Browser restrictions
- Third party service outages
- Security issues
- Infrastructure failures
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
DesignRigs reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features of RigsDesk.
15. Updates and Changes
RigsDesk may receive updates, improvements, bug fixes, security fixes, or feature changes.
Some updates may be necessary for compatibility with Chrome or third party services.
Features available at the time of purchase may change, be replaced, or be discontinued as the product develops.
A lifetime license does not guarantee that every feature available at the time of purchase will remain available forever.
16. Account Termination
You may stop using RigsDesk at any time.
You may also request deletion of your RigsDesk account by contacting:
DesignRigs may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that:
- The account is being used fraudulently
- A payment has been reversed, disputed, or determined to be fraudulent
- The user has materially violated these Terms
- The account is being used to abuse, attack, or disrupt the service
- Continued access creates a legal, security, or operational risk
Where appropriate, DesignRigs may provide notice before terminating access.
Termination of a RigsDesk account does not delete your Chrome bookmarks.
17. Purchased Licenses and Termination
A purchased lifetime license does not grant ownership of the RigsDesk software.
It grants a license to use the applicable paid version of RigsDesk while the product remains available and subject to these Terms.
If an account is terminated because of fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms, DesignRigs may revoke the associated license without refund, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If DesignRigs permanently discontinues RigsDesk, no additional subscription or recurring payment will be charged. DesignRigs does not guarantee compensation or refunds solely because the product is discontinued, except where required by applicable law.
18. No Warranty
RigsDesk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DesignRigs makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding RigsDesk, including warranties of:
- Availability
- Reliability
- Accuracy
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Merchantability
- Non infringement
- Compatibility with future versions of Chrome
- Uninterrupted operation
- Error free operation
- Preservation or recovery of bookmarks or local workspace data
We do not guarantee that RigsDesk will meet your particular requirements or that every feature will operate correctly on every device, browser configuration, or Chrome version.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DesignRigs and its developer, operators, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of RigsDesk.
This includes, without limitation:
- Loss of bookmarks
- Loss of files or data
- Loss of business or revenue
- Loss of profits
- Loss of productivity
- Loss of access
- Loss of locally stored workspace information
- Service interruption
- Browser or Chrome related issues
- Third party service failures
- Unauthorized access resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control
You acknowledge that RigsDesk is an organizational tool and not a backup or data recovery service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DesignRigs' total aggregate liability arising from or related to RigsDesk shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to DesignRigs for RigsDesk during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DesignRigs and its developer, operators, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of RigsDesk
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable laws
- Your infringement of another person's rights
- Your intentional or negligent actions involving RigsDesk
21. Electronic Communications
By using RigsDesk or contacting DesignRigs electronically, you consent to receiving electronic communications relating to your account, purchases, security, service updates, and other matters necessary to provide RigsDesk.
We do not use your account information for unsolicited advertising or behavioral marketing.
22. Changes to These Terms
DesignRigs may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
Your continued use of RigsDesk after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using RigsDesk.
23. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan, unless applicable mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or RigsDesk shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Japan, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
25. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the RigsDesk Privacy Policy and any other applicable terms expressly referenced by RigsDesk, constitute the agreement between you and DesignRigs concerning your use of RigsDesk.
They supersede prior representations or understandings relating to the same subject matter, except where otherwise required by law.
